Our Winery
Langenlonsheimer Rothenberg Terrasse was the best Riesling by Wine for asia (Gold trophy Singapore, 2007)

Tradition, Innovation & Passion – these are the cornerstones and  secrets of our longtime success story.

Axel Schweinhardt represents the current generation in a family which looks back on more than 350 years of winegrowing along the Nahe River.

The family has been based in Langenlonsheim, a small traditional wine village near the Hunsrück Hills, since 1859 .

The estate’s name “Weingut Bürgermeister“  dates back to Axel Schweinhardt’s grandfather who was the mayor  of Langenlonsheim from 1946 until 1969.

We continue to follow our principles of preserving the originality and the characteristics of our wines through careful and gentle work. Relying on low yields, gentle hand picking and the careful selection of the grapes in the vineyard. We guarantee high quality every year anew.

The vinification in the cellar makes use of the oaken barrique barrels as well as the advantages of modern wine-making technology. The results are seen in our excellent wines of world-wide renown.
